Basildon Churches

Welcome to the web site for the Basildon group of churches

We are a group of three Church of England parishes in West Berkshire covering the villages of Upper and Lower Basildon, Aldworth and Ashampstead and offer a variety of services and meetings to our communities. We have three church centres:

• St. Stephen's, Upper Basildon
• St. Mary's, Aldworth
• St. Clement's, Ashampstead

Our aim is to present 'the Lordship of Christ to every person living in our parish through word and deed, so that all may see God's love and hear his call to repent and grow in the Christian faith.' (Taken from our Mission Statement)

Churches are primarily about people and their relationship with God and each other. To grow in these relationships we meet regularly in the three villages we serve at various times and offer both traditional and contemporary worship, We attempt to provide suitable services for all ages and especially welcome those with young families by providing Sunday Schools and creche facilities.
